There are just a few questions you can ask to make sure we’re the right people to call (we don’t want to waste your time).
Is there water at the tap?
If there’s plenty of cold or lukewarm water, then you probably need our hot water service repairs. If there’s no water or a reduced amount, you probably need a plumber.
Has the fuse blown?
Has the circuit breaker tripped or fuse blown? If so, then we’re here to help.
Any sign of leaks?
Check for signs of water around the base of the cylinder and for signs of rust on the external casing of the cylinder. A leaking cylinder usually has to be replaced. There is no way to repair a rusted mains pressure cylinder. A plumber can fit a new one, but you could also consider an electrician to oversee the process.
Check the pressure relief valve
There will be a pipe running from the pressure relief valve on the side of the cylinder to an outside drain. If this is leaking, then you’ll need a plumber.
